Hey beautiful family, fellow adventurers! Are you ready to embark on the ultimate magical journey through Walt Disney World? As a seasoned Disney enthusiast and family travel blogger, I’m thrilled to guide you through seven unforgettable days in the most enchanting place on earth. From meeting beloved characters to experiencing thrilling attractions, here’s your comprehensive itinerary for making the most of your Disneyworld adventure.
I know that Disney World is a very big theme park (different separate big theme parks) and lets be honest to enjoy all the rides and parks you will need at least 14 days, but as the most of the parents our budget wasn’t that big to enjoy 2 weeks holidays in the sunny state of Florida (I wish I could!).
After hours of research (yes I did that for you so don’t need to expend time doing it by your own) I came across with this itinerary and tips to enjoy with our kids that amazing trip (and we did it), so let’s travel together.
Planning the trip
As most of trips we started searching for flight tickets and accommodations, for tickets we normally use SKYSCANNER where you can search and compare different flights tickets, times and more.
If you haven’t used SKYSCANNER before or don’t know how to use it take advantage of their amazing flights comparison, I invite you to check our guide of how to by tickets using Skyscanner.
Once we had the tickets bought, we searched for accomodations, we evaluated not only hotels but also apartments and condos in Orlando.
After our research we decided to choose a hotel near the theme park, as we only had 7 days we didn’t want to expend the most of the time driving long time to Disney and back to the hotel, I recommend any nice hotel in or near Lake Buena Vista – the Disney area, our choice was Intercontinental Hotel which gave s an amazing service and nice breakfast, and just a few minutes walking to Downtown Disney (now called Disney Springs).
Haven’t been in Downtown Disney (now called Disney Springs) before? check our guide of “What to do in Disney Springs”, you will love it!
Ok, so let’s the fun begin.
Day 1: Welcome to the Magic Kingdom
Welcome to the Magic Kingdom, where dreams come true and magic is around every corner! Start your day bright and early by heading straight to Main Street, U.S.A., and soak in the iconic sights of Cinderella Castle. Be sure to snap a family photo in front of this majestic landmark to commemorate the beginning of your adventure.
Next, dive into the heart of the Magic Kingdom and embark on classic attractions like Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Peter Pan’s Flight. If you can afford it don’t forget to grab a FastPass+ for your favorite rides to minimize wait times and maximize fun! I know this is depend of the season you travel to Disney, but is not bad if you plan ahead.
After hours of being walking and having fun our tummies started asking for food, so for lunch we went to “Be Our Guest Restaurant”, where you can dine in the grand ballroom of the Beast’s castle, and believe me the food was great taking into account not always food in theme parks are that enjoyable.
After refueling, we continued exploring the park and catch beloved shows like Mickey’s PhilharMagic and the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
